Terms and Conditions for Grassington Lodge
We have a minimum 2-night stay for bookings which include a Saturday (during busy periods), although single weekend nights may be available at short notice. At quieter times, Saturday nights maybe available for booking in advance at a supplement of £10. Please note that for Bank Holiday weekends we MAY only offer a minimum of 3 night bookings.
A deposit equating to approximately 30% may be taken on booking, the balance payable on departure. We will send you a confirmation of the booking, advising you what the outstanding balance is.
The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. We accept the following forms of payment:
cash, cheque with bankers card, debit cards, credit cards
Cancellation, Curtailment and Insurance:

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. The 30% (approximately) deposit, if paid, will be returned if you cancel the booking within our cancellation periods as follows:
NO CANCELLATION CHARGES if cancelled more than 3 days before the day of reservation. If cancelled less than 3 days before, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 100%. If we (albeit reluctantly) exercise the right to charge 100% we would be happy to transfer a proportion of such a charge to a future booking.
For cancellations of bookings made for Bank Holiday, Festive periods and Dickensian weekends, 5 days notice is required of cancellation, if cancelled less than 5 days before, a fee of up to 100% will be payable
CURTAILMENT OF STAY – 100% of any remaining nights of a reservation would be charged as per our cancellation charges above – i.e., if there is less than 3 nights left of the booking, the full price would be charged.
For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation is usually available to you no later than 4pm on the day of arrival. If you choose to arrive earlier than this, please park your car on our car park. We have a staff break between 2pm and 4pm but if you arrive before 2pm, please ring the doorbell as your room MAY be ready. Advising us of your planned arrival time is always appreciated. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 7pm as we may need to leave a key and instructions for access to your room.
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 11am on the day of departure, although we are happy to discuss a later departure. Payment of your bill would be appreciated immediately after your breakfast on your day of departure or before. As there are no extras your bill can be paid on arrival or at breakfast time on any day of your stay.
Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £30 if you did not report this.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
